LAW 986LEC - Sex Offense Registration & Civil Management

In recent years, sex offenders have been the subject of post-conviction restrictions that courts and legislatures consider to be “civil” in nature: sex offender registration and civil commitment, principally. This course will address Megan’s Laws, which exist in every state, other post-conviction restrictions, and the cost and efficacy of efforts to address recidivism in this area.
