PMY 405LEC - Integrative and Applied Pharmacology I


This course will employ individual case studies and primary literature to demonstrate how essential pharmacological concepts are applied in clinical and research relevant contexts. Students will learn how to search different literature databases and find reliable sources of drug information to expand their cumulative knowledge in pharmacology & toxicology. Students will integrate knowledge of physiology and pharmacology and apply that understanding to selected topics in pharmacology. As part of this two semester course (PMY 405 & PMY 406) students will refine their skills in written and oral communication through papers and in-class discussions and seminar presentations.
